A complete, show-proven aluminium stand built by Unibox in 2024. It scales from a 6m × 3m showpiece down to 4m × 3m, 3m × 3m and 3m × 2m, with lit roof panels, a 2.48m lightbox tower, timber feature beams, lighting and furniture, and it joins directly to beMatrix frames.

One kit, every plot size
The same frames have been rebuilt to fit four different plots. Split-height walls (1,984 + 496mm), custom 186, 372, 434 and 558mm infill widths, and two roof systems mean every build fits the plot exactly.
Maximum build: 6m × 3m
FERMA 2024, Madrid (two stands joined). The rear wall runs 6,014mm, with a lightbox tower, green wall, timber beams and a lockable lightbox counter.

AMRAE 2026. A 2,969mm frame run on a 3,000mm plot, with a beam roof, pendant lights and a setback lightbox. Swapping the two 434mm frames fits a smaller plot.

The kit also builds as a 3m × 2m stand: AIRMIC 2026, Birmingham, used a 3m long side and a 2m short side with a 1,984mm canopy roof.
Joins straight to beMatrix, with the same pins
Mod-U-Lok was chosen as a beMatrix equivalent. beMatrix first designed this same 6m stand (quote VO2401777, February 2024), and Unibox then built it in Mod-U-Lok (drawing UA47874, May 2024) on the same frame modules. Both systems share the 62mm connection grid and the same metric frame sizes, so the frames sit side by side and join with standard joining pins through the aligned holes.

The frame system: Unibox Mod-U-Lok
The stand was designed by Experio and manufactured by Unibox to drawing UA47874 (Rev B, May 2024). Every frame is a Mod-U-Lok assembly on the system’s 62mm CNC connection grid, so it reconfigures, extends and takes standard Unibox parts, which can still be ordered direct.

Mod-U-Lok is Unibox’s modular system of aluminium profiles, connectors and accessories for temporary and permanent structures. Standard frames run from 310 to 1,488mm wide and up to 2,976mm high, and everything joins on a precision 62mm grid with an Allen key. Unibox designs and makes the system in-house in Manchester, is a Made in Britain member and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Why it was chosen: in a 2024 comparison against beMatrix and ISOframe, Mod-U-Lok matched beMatrix for rigidity, but its frames break down flat for storage and transport, and parts come from the UK with no customs.

23 wall frames: standard ML1S sizes 496 to 1,488mm wide, plus custom 186, 372 and 434mm widths for exact plot fits
Split-height walls: 1,984mm + 496mm frames stack to 2,480mm, so a wall can run as one frame or two
Six roof frames (744 and 558mm widths) span a 2m or 3m roof run
Seamless 2-way TFS corner posts (×4) and four-way posts (×7), three with 620mm galvanised extensions that carry the timber beams
Double-sided SEG on both faces of every frame, with cables run inside the profile

Roof options, lightboxes and lighting
Roof type 1: Lit SEG ceiling, 2m–3m run
A 744 × 1,984mm Mod-U-Lok frame with a white, black-backed SEG ceiling and two pre-wired recessed downlights. A 744 × 744mm extension frame takes the run to 2,728mm for 3m stands.
Roof type 2: 558mm braced roof set
Four custom 558mm-wide frames (1,364, 1,612, 868 and 1,984mm). The 1,984mm frame is cross-braced into four cells, with three downlight cut-outs and a matching white SEG ceiling.
Feature roof: Oak-effect timber beams
Three 2,030mm and three 1,530mm hollow 100 × 100mm beams on Mod-U-Lok aluminium inserts, for 2.5m and 2m stands. Each is pre-drilled to drop a pendant light. End caps are included.
Lightbox: Unibox Ledge 150 lightbox tower
700 × 150 × 2,480mm, built by Unibox (drawing UA47899) in white RAL 9003 Ledge 150 profile, with a 12-bar LED backlight on a 200W 24V driver. It bolts into the four-way post.
Feature wall: Backlit logo slat wall
A Mod-U-Lok 496 × 2,480mm column clad in oak-effect slats, with a backlit cut-out logo, six RGBW COB strips on a 200W 24V IP67 supply, and a remote. Change the logo panel to rebrand it.
Counter: Lockable lightbox counter
1,100 × 500 × 1,052mm, white high-gloss. It houses a PIXLIP GO 1,000 × 1,000mm SEG lightbox, has lockable rear double doors, and breaks down into five parts for transport.
Illuminated cupboard table (Wrights Plastics): a 1,000 × 1,000mm frosted acrylic top lit by 10 LED strips, over a lockable storage cupboard.
